Double flap, JD tree.
Our JD Junior has been developed on the deep tree of the JD and has been designed for ponies and for our youngest riders. This seat has a balance point set farther back than traditional models. The tree has been designed to ensure greater support to the rider’s posture, it is slightly longer and has a wider pommel. Particularly indicated for those who prefer a more central, deep position, supported by the saddle.
The innovative flaps, of a size suitable for young riders, are made entirely of doubled bull leather and, thanks to a series of technical cuts and holes, they grant an amazing feeling, combining the stability and comfort of a double flap with the contact of a mono. Front rolls are medium-sized (Q), to grant the smallest riders better leg support. Both rolls, front and rear, have a Velcro attachment so that riders can choose the most suitable type of support.
Panels are hand-flocked and have a larger surface area and a thinner shape to ensure optimal balance, decreasing pressure points on the spinal area of the horse and promoting a closer contact. The panels are thinned in the central and rear part, to allow a better balance on ponies, which are known for having round and well-muscled structures.
This model, as standard, will always feature a bicoloured stirrup loop in Red and Silver and front and rear piping in a different colour from the saddle:
- Black saddle: front and rear piping in Cocoa. Black stitching
- Cocoa saddle: front and rear piping in Dark Brown. Beige stitching
- Dark Brown saddle: front and rear piping in Cocoa. Beige stitching

The JD Junior is available only in size 16’’.
